The team celebrated launching Fat Farmers in the South West with their local staff, clients and suppliers, by hosting a lunch and charity auction to kick it off before their first meeting at the Australind foreshore on Monday.
The auction attracted a big crowd, which also took advantage of the free Two Fat Cows artisan ice cream, coffee, and barbecue provided by Dardanup Butchering Company (DBC). There were a range of items up for grabs, both large and small, as well as door prizes and services donated by Easy Fence, Zoetis, Coerco, AuctionsPlus, DBC, Farm Weekly, and Elders Insurance.With a strong passion for the causes, key drivers Mr Longford, Mr Allen, Ms Rowe and Ms Oxley, were determined to make as much noise as they could to raise awareness, spread the word about the local Fat Farmers group being created and celebrate rural resilience, community, and health, as well as raise money for two worthy causes.Catching up at the event were Vaughn Byrd (left), Alcoa Farmlands, Wagerup and Elders, Waroona livestock representative Wade Krawczyk.
